The Yawn Rebellion
A local restaurant is in need of a logo design and a full color tri-fold letter or accordion (z-fold) folded menu developed for their up and coming restaurant. The client is looking for a creative solution which communicates the mood, spirit and theme of the restaurant.
The clients establishment is a coffee shop named “The Yawn Rebellion.” As for the look and feel of the brand I was inspired by propaganda posters from the 1940’s. Elements such as the raised hand hand hold a coffee cup, the rays originating from behind the hand, and the "stencil" font are all examples of things commonly found in propaganda posters.
For the menu itself, the yellow color from the background of the menu is meant to resemble burnt parchment paper. The headlines for each section are ment to resemble calls to action.
